Idk who said you have to be perfect and listen to societies rules but being a CHRISTIAN does not mean you are perfert. Nor does it mean you have the right to judge others. I smoke weed, I curse, I did a lot of things I may not be proud of but these are not them. … and most people would swear I don’t know Jesus.
Someone will definitely judge you for drinking a few beers and saying “shit” or “Fuck” when your game is loosing or if you hit your big toe… That is them… definitely not me.. Not if you are like my husband and cusses and swings at the air when playing a game on xbox I might say “ hey settle down” or “calm down” but that is about it.
I definitely don’t like cussing to the point its every other word but I don’t mind ocassionally curse words. It is hard to explain but basically we go through this phase and curse non stop when we are younger adults because we are FREE. (haha) Well most of us do… then it becomes whatever and dies down a bit.
Anyways, all of this has nothing to do with having a love for Jesus. It infuriates me when people that are supposedly Christian but use curse words or smoking weed as a justification to call out someones faith. Shouldn’t you question your own faith, if you are busy trying to look at ways someone isn’t “Christian enough”????…..
I never wanted to here about anyone's faith and just kept to myself. Believing in God but not knowing much else. I didn't go to church much and from the experience I had, I thought all people who had a faith were just judgmental assholes. I didn't want to be a part of that and now I realize there are judgmental buttheads within the place of faith.
I am not all that surprised.
What I do want to let people know, especially, if you are not sure what you believe in. Research what each faith that seems appealing to you and see what you believe is true. Also, be open to people who invite to the event or a service at their place of worship. Remember that a person or a few people don't represent a whole faith/religion and it all depends on where you go, even if you don't like a Christian church because of the pastor or people try another Christian church, maybe? Lastly, remember you are not perfect and that isn't a bad thing - if anyone or group tries to ridicule you for not being so, then leave that place or group of people immediately. It is in my opinion, any faith/religion or form of relationship with God or divine power should empower you and give you a moral boundary of understanding.
